After all this, Macbeth makes himself the new king. Macbeth is happy because this prediction from the witches came true, too. But Macbeth goes wacko, and remembers that Banquo’s kids will all be kings. Since he doesn’t want any competition, he tries to kill Banquo and his son. Banquo’s son escapes though and is not killed. Now Macbeth goes bonkers and is really paranoid. He has a big dinner party. At the party, he sees Banquo’s ghost and becomes really mad.

Then the story cuts to Macbeth. Macbeth doesn’t know he’s the new captain yet. He is with his buddy, Banquo, another soldier, and they meet the three witches. The witches tell them some predictions -- that Macbeth will be the new captain, that Macbeth will be king, and that Banquo’s kids will be kings.
