Bilbo was born on September 22 (equivalent to the 12-14 September on our calendar) the year TA 2890 to Belladonna Took and Bungo Baggins. Bilbo grew mostly up in Bag End, a smial his father built for his mother. He lived a happy child life, having great parents and a wizard for a friend. He would always stay out late after dark in search of elves. Bilbo also had a plastic sword of his own he hit Gandalf with. Then the Second Fell Winter hit, causing the Brandywine River to be completely frozen. Bilbo ultimately lived through the terrible winter of the season. Not long years after his coming of age (turning thirty-three, Bilbo's father passes away due to unknown causes, and mother following eight years later. Bilbo was Bungo's heir, therefore, Bilbo became the next patriarch of the Baggins family.

The tale centers on a small hobbit by the name of Bilbo Baggins.

Given that Bilbo had most of his own tale to write about during the War of the Ring, as well as the possibility of beginning on LR, this would explain the similarity in style between Book 1 and TH, and the sudden change in the rest of LR.

He must choose between the Baggins in him and stay in the Shire in order to remain respected among his fellow hobbits or to leave with Gandalf and Thorin’s company in order to fulfill his Tookish thirst for adventure.

The passageway leads to the city of Rivendell, the Last Homely House. Bilbo realizes the magic flowing through the cave and tells Gandalf he feels the powerful magic; which Gandalf says that it is indeed. Bilbo stops in awe when he sees the elven city. While Bilbo sees it as haven, the dwarves see it as a threat (most notably Thorin). Oakenshield approached the Wizard and Bilbo, accusing Gandalf of leading him to "seek refuge with their enemy".

Later, the next day, Bilbo explored Rivendell, and looked upon it as its glory and artistic ways. Bilbo also he stumbles upon the shards of Narsil. Elrond then approaches Bilbo and joins him outside. Bilbo reveals the true reason why he's alone: no one will miss him and most of them believe that he is not fit for this adventure. While Elrond says that hobbits are resilient, Bilbo says that it is also unwise to seek the council of elves. At first, Bilbo thinks he insults Elrond, until the Elf smiles at him fondly. Elrond invites Bilbo to stay if he wishes to before walking away, leaving Bilbo alone in thought.

Bilbo and the others finally make it to the Misty Mountains, behind Bofur and in front of Dwalin. On one of the giants, Bilbo almost falls before Dwalin and Bofur catch the hobbit before he falls off the cliff. After the Stone giant fight rages, Bilbo stumbles and hangs off the cliff. The Stone giant they're on clashes with other giants and they collide with the side of the mountain. Bilbo then stumbles and hangs on tight to the cliff.

He comes from the Shire, an area inhabited and ruled by Hobbits....

Bilbo later received Sting from Gandalf the Grey in the trolls' hoard. The company is later hearing noises and Bilbo unmasks his sword to look at it before running off with the others. He is alter seen making a disgusted face when a stick insect is taken out of Radagast's teeth. They are later attacked by two Wargs and Bilbo was panicked when the Wargs were upon them. Thorin and Gandalf lead the company while Radagast throws them off. They are later surrounded by the Wargs, but Gandalf points them to the secret passageway. To ensure the safety of Bilbo and their companions, Thorin guards the passage while they flee into the opening.
